A CHANGE IN MIND
His gentle palm grabbed mine and couldn't help it but to shed tears of joy. "Baby, I love you dearly", he whispered gently in my ears.
How on earth will I meet such a gentleman again if I ever lose him? For the first time in my life, I was afraid to lose someone so dear to my heart, "Promise me you will continue to be the good lady I have known for the past years".
I kissed his forehead to seal the promise he requested from me and he kept smiling. "I will always do as you say but please never leave me alone".
He coughed and asked me to get him water to drink, I rushed out of the room to get the water but to my deepest surprise, he was cold when I got back and couldn't make any move on his sick bed. "Nurse, nurse, nurse" were the last words I heard myself whisper when I woke up from my dream.
The thought of leaving the house vanished completely when I woke up.
I began to appreciate my father for his countless efforts to get me on the right moral standard due to the fear I encountered in the dream.
I had always thought he never loved me simply because he nagged like a woman on everything I do and wouldn't allow me to have the freedom to do the things that he knew would ruin my reputation in future.

WHY MUST ONE WARM A BED BEFORE GETTING A JOB?
After all these struggles, why must one's dignity be hindered before they are offered a job?.
Ladies especially do face these challenges especially when life throws them in a desperate need for a job.
The question now is, must we always have to be employed in someone's company before we can make money to survive?,what then happens to our God given talents of using our bare hands to work towards achieving a common goal?.
One cannot sit back and throw stones at the other for being sinful since sin is a reproach to all mankind but we must be cautious of the things that will go against our dignity.
Though it is extremely depressing to be jobless, it still doesn't grant a lady an opportunity to warm the bed of a would-be boss. Thanks
STREET CHILDREN, RESPONSIBILITY OF GOVERNMENT OR SOCIETY?
When night falls and everything goes to rest. The abode for these young ones is a nightmare.
The question now lies as to who is responsible for street children?
They live almost every aspect of their lives on the streets. The street has become part of them and after a hard day's begging, they cool off at a local game center. What is the future of street children who continue to increase by the day?
As a new day is born, the cycle continues for these children whose future is that of uncertainty.
I humbly seek the help of the Government and Organizations who have the will to help to save these children from the street. Thanks.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS
He held my wrist, lowered his head towards mine, such a charming masculine figure.
My mind ran from reality to imaginations, someone I had admired for a while since I entered the hall is now so close to me.....should I expect a kiss? hmmm I wish......
He kept staring at me as if he was ready to say the magic words..'Yes I do' , he whispered gently with no formal introduction. 'You are beautiful',
holy heavens! "Did he just say that to me?" I couldn't believe it.
At this juncture, my expectation was for him to say something that will push me to the edge of falling in love "My name is Fred and I........I felt goose bumps all over my body, so eager to hear him complete the sentence......
'I have a gift for you which includes a dress, panties and ladies sanitary pad'.......such a gentleman, the mere hearing of dress put a smile on my face but why the panties and sanitary pad?,,,I coughed out of tension "Are you okay?"...he asked "Yes I am alright", my response came out sharply. I noticed from where I was sitting that you have stained your dress with blood and I kept wondering why none of the guests invited here drew your attention to it including the gentlemen over there,he drew my attention to them. I turned immediately to look at the gentlemen and i realized none of them was stealing glances at me. Without altering any word, I rushed to the washroom to wash down and change into my new dress.
Everyone turned to look at me with admiration including the bride and groom as I walked gorgeously back to the hall.
The invited guests began to move to the wedding reception and I had to join but I realized my new friend was still not showing any signs of movement so I decided to go to him so we could go together but I was interrupted by an unknown gentleman "Hi, my name is Joel,a banker, may I please have the honor to escort you to the reception?", I looked at him from head to toe and I realized he was more handsome than the new angel I had found who rescued me from embarrassment but where was Joel when my dress was stained? Did he notice but pretended not to have done so? These words ran through my thoughts
"Hello, pleasure to meet you but I am sorry to inform you that I have an escort"...I saw the disappointment on his face but I cared less.
I went to Fred and asked him if he would love to escort me to the reception but he bowed his head, I asked if he was okay and he said he couldn't walk unless I help him to sit in his wheel chair and escort him to the reception.I was silent for a while, I didn't know he was physically challenged right from the beginning due to the way he sat, "Should I ignore my new friend due to his challenge because of what others might think of me or I should allow Joel, the gentleman with no physical challenge to escort me since he will draw more attention from on-lookers?",,,These words ran through my mind.
Every one had left the hall except ,myself, Joel and Fred....I decided to help Fred and leave Joel to his fate and for a moment I forgot all about what others might think of me hanging out with Fred because I realized that despite his challenge, he's the only one who rescued me from embarrassment when all others pretended not to have seen it....From that moment, I woke up from the imagination of fairy tales where we dream of getting things as smooth as we see it forgetting that in order to get what we truly desire, we must sacrifice for others regardless of their challenges.

School Enrollment Must Be For All
In Ghana we have a lot of educational institutions that are helping citizens to improve upon their capabilities and to be able to stand and compete wherever they find themselves.
We all are not equal, some are intellectually good but handicapped when it comes to practical things while others are practically good but lack some intellectual element. Based on this in my candid opinion, students must be given equal opportunities to be enrolled into schools whether they pass examination or not.
This is not implying that students must not study hard but i have observed for some time now that some students drop out of school and they live the lives they do not desire because they are denied access to continue because they fail examinations.
It is sometimes not their fault because some of them no matter how hard they try, passing exams theoretically is very difficult but when you put them on filed, they can practically pass and pass very well.
Most students pass very well in examination theoretically and get the best jobs after school but when you put them on the field, they do not perform as expected and that is where productivity goes low.
Some of these students who are denied access to further their education because they fail exams end up on the street as armed robbers , prostitutes or find themselves in unprepared parenthood situation and the same society will criticize them for not doing the right thing. We can not fold our arms and watch some things go wrong before we take action on them.
Sometimes it is really sad that as a country we have eligible people who are willing to work very hard but due to access being denied them to further their education, their efforts in the economy are wasted .
Some upon writing several times and still failing in their exams commit suicide out of frustration because they do not get the right motivation to keep them moving on when they find themselves in situations like that.
We don't have adequate institutions in the country to accommodate all students who graduate every year but no matter how difficult the situation may seem, there's always a better way out only if we are able to plan well
I plead with the government, private institutions and organizations to all come together and help our future leaders to have access to higher education than to drop out of school because they fail their exams theoretically or practically.

When luxury overshadows good vision
Life becomes tougher each passing day because injustice is being done everywhere, though we are still saying we stand for freedom and justice.
When one is young, they dream of studying harder to become great individuals in future with the aim of helping the poor in need but the moment they get to taste the good side of life, then they forget that poor family who inspired them to work hard, where are your conscience my dear citizens?.
Why do you enjoy the good meals alone and give the bones to the poor when you can dine with them?.
Let us be one purpose driven which is life after death and think of all that we cannot take along with us to the other world so that we can help others while we live.
